Bushmills Bottles Private Reserve Irish Whiskey Series

Bushmills Private Reserve series is a new line of limited-edition, finished Irish single malts, debuting with an inaugural collection of four 10 and 12 year old whiskeys.

Launching today, this first collection includes three 10 year old single malts — Plum Cask, Bordeaux Cask and Burgundy Cask — and a 12 year old, the Tequila Cask.

Additional expressions will continuously join the series as they roll out in limited quantities.

Like all Bushmills whiskey, the Private Reserve collection is made by Master Blender Alex Thomas, from 100% unpeated malted barley and spring water from the river Bush, triple distilled in small batches in traditional copper pot stills.

Distillery-provided tasting notes are as follows:

• Bushmills 10 YO Plum Cask Finish (92 proof) — Notes of sweet vanilla, hazelnut and almond that develops into ripe plum, cherry and milk chocolate
• Bushmills 10 YO Bordeaux Cask Finish (93 proof) — Green apple, lemon and vanilla, followed by a hint of nutmeg and ginger, before finishing with spiciness
• Bushmills 10 YO Burgundy Cask Finish (94 proof) — Fruitiness that builds with raspberry sweetness preceding flavors of crisp apple and black cherry, with a finish that leads with vanilla truffles and a touch of almond
• Bushmills 12 YO Tequila Cask Finish (95 proof) — Leads with butterscotch into spiced vanilla with hints of black olives, anise and toasted oak

Available for a limited time only, the first whiskeys in the Bushmills Private Reserve series will be available for purchase on Flaviar and retail stores nationwide. Each of the 10 Year Old variants has a suggested retail price of $59.99 per 750-ml. bottle, with the 12 Year Old available at an SRP of $74.99.
