Bushmills Irish Whiskey Launches 31 Year Old Single Malt Whiskey

Bushmills Irish Whiskey Launches 31 Year Old Single Malt Whiskey as Fourth and Final Addition to Their Revered Rare Cask Series

On May 21st, Bushmills Irish Whiskey released the newest and final installment in the distilleries series of limited high-age-statement Irish single malts, The Rare Casks. The fourth and highest age statement, Rare Cask 04 is a 31 Year Old Single Malt, expertly aged in bourbon, sherry and virgin American oak casks.

Prior to this launch, The Rare Cask series boasted an impressive lineup of 28, 29, and 30 YO whiskeys all finished in a variety of unique cask types. The newest addition to the collection continues to prove that after over 400 years of whiskey-making, the oldest licensed whiskey distillery is a leader in innovation in the Irish Single Malt category, with no other producer in Ireland possessing enough stock to match age statements and innovations coming out of the distillery.

Bushmills Rare Cask 04 is triple-cask matured, spending its first 14 years maturing in bourbon barrels and sherry butts before settling into pristine, new American oak casks that were constructed and toasted to Bushmills proprietary specifications under the care of Master Distiller Alex Thomas.

This maturation process creates a whiskey that is deep copper in color, with intense aromas of ripe fruit, warm vanilla, rick oak, honey, spiced pear and dried fruit. It then melts into warm honey and vanilla notes to the taste, combining with notes of creamy milk chocolate, pear, sweet apple and warming spiced coconut, finally finishing with notes of sweet warm vanilla honey and a gentle spice.

Available for a limited time only, the liquid will be available in limited quantities online at ReserveBar.com and in-person at select retailers nationwide for an SRP of $2,600. Consumers are invited to follow along on Bushmills.com for exciting updates on upcoming exciting, new expressions and news.
